In this unique pair of earrings I captured real ivory toned Queen Ann's lace flowers between fine layers of resin.
My process starts with collecting and preserving wildflowers gathered from Flanders wild meadows. Everything is pressed and dried to retain its natural colours and intriguing details in the best way possible.
The delicate blooms were carefully arranged and casted in high quality, droplet shaped earrings. The shape of the ear wire provides a long, dramatic contour and a front-facing elegant drop.
The resin will protect the flowers from aging and has a glossy finish. The piece is finished with tiny pieces of hand cut goldleaf inspired by the sunlight peeking through the wild meadow.
