Handmade ring with a single forget-me-not flower and gold Leaf.
In this meaningful, handmade ring, I preserved a single white forget-me-not between thin layers of resin.
Each flower is lovingly picked from Flanders' wild meadows. The flowers are then dried for up to 8 weeks to preserve their fresh, natural colors and beauty.
The delicate flowers are then treated and encased in a high-quality dewdrop shaped frame resting on the ring. It provides the perfect elegant setting for the sparkling floral scene within.
The resin further protects the preserved flowers from aging and provides a glossy finish.
The piece is finished with tiny fragments of gold leaf, inspired by the sun's golden rays penetrating a wild meadow. This creates an elegant and ethereal effect of light and flora, where each flower seems to absorb and reflect a subtle warm glow.
There are many legends about this little flower and it was often used as a symbol of love in history. In medieval times, it was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love. And in 15th-century Germany, it was supposed that the wearers of the flower would not be forgotten by their lovers.
